All Things Sacred

As parents we are really trying. We take the kids to church every week and do our best to keep them quiet enough to disturb only the people in a ten foot radius, but I'm afraid we are failing miserably. At least at the last part.

Today during sacrament meeting Weston talked the whole time, as usual, in a normal voice, as usual, but luckily we were free from any outbursts. Then came the closing prayer. As soon as we bowed our heads Weston started singing the theme from Little Einsteins. Luckily he was pretty quiet. But the prayer kept going, and was still going strong when West threw his hands in the air and yelled "Blast-off!" And we were still praying. Then he said, loud enough for the entire congregation to hear, "Excuse me, I tooted." There were snickers coming from the pulpit to the very last row. And now no one will remember the very, very long prayer that ended our most reverent meeting of the day.
