The other day I was feeding Dylan some yogurt for a snack when she stopped eating and said, ” All done.” I wiped her off, got her out of her chair, and went to the bathroom. When I returned a minute later she had somehow gotten the yogurt and spoon off of the table and onto a chair, and was feeding herself. My initial reaction was to quickly commandeer the food before it covered every surface in my kitchen, but she was so pleased with herself that instead I grabbed my phone and started snapping away.

What a sweet, patient and understanding Mommy. You are wise to enjoy these moments--they come and then they're gone forever.
