Weston had his 12 month checkup today, and weighs in at a whopping 24 lbs 11 oz (77th percentile), is 31" long (88%) and has a head circumference of 19.25" (98%). He's as healthy as they come. For comparisons sake, at her one year appointment Layla was 18 lbs 12 oz (20%) and 28.5" long (25%).
Night and day, these two, and thank goodness for that. We are right in the middle of obedience training with Layla, and it's not going as planned. We lay out rules or instructions and consequences if these are not followed, and so far this week she has spent over eight hours of discipline time in her room. Maybe we should take the Barbies, CD player and pet fish out of there...
We love Layla very much, and she has so many wonderful qualities including being a great big sister, very helpful, kind-hearted, and incredibly smart, but we thank Heavenly Father every day for our laid-back, happy, non-dramatic, rolly-polly Weston.

What a chunker! That's awesome.
Isn't it funny how the second child is SO different. We have the exact situation here, and sometimes I wonder if it's just the age. But I swear, MJ was way more demanding at 8 months than Josie. I just keep crossing my fingers that Josie won't turn into a pill.
