Harvest Festival

Last weekend we went on our first family outing as a party of five. Remlinger Farms was having its annual Harvest Festival, so we loaded up the kids on Saturday morning, stopped at McDonald's for breakfast, and made our way to the farm.

Despite the 41 degree morning the kids were totally excited. Luckily, we got there early, so we decided to do pony rides first, since the line was fairly short. Layla rode Spice and Weston rode Coconut (all of their ponies were named after one of their famous homemade pies).

They had decorated the entire farm with pumpkins and scarecrows. They brought in a huge inflatable slide and booths with treats and crafts, as well as the usual farmhouses, old fashioned cars, steam engine train and petting zoo. We had an absolute blast and would have had a hard time getting the kids out of there if not for the promise of a hot lunch and pumpkin picking on the way out.

It's definitely more work going out with three kids, but I'm sure we'll try it again soon.
