We have now been in Salt Lake City for a week and a half, and have enjoyed every crazy minute. To say that things get hectic with a toddler, a newborn and three families to celebrate with would be a gross understatement. Luckily, the three families are composed of very loving and helpful individuals with strong arms for holding an abnormally large baby and legs swift enough to chase a frenetic toddler.
I am truly blessed not only to have been raised in such a wonderful family, but to have married into one as well. I love my in-laws and am relieved that they are just off-kilter enough to appreciate me as well.

It has been an incredible white Christmas here in Utah. I think we've gotten over a foot of fresh snow since we arrived last Thursday. Layla has LOVED playing outside, making a snowman, shoveling the driveway, eating snow, and throwing it at unsuspecting people (for a toddler she is surprisingly adept at catching people off-guard). She has been delighted at the attention from all of the grandparents, aunts and uncles, and I'm afraid she may have gotten a bit spoiled and will have a hard time facing the harsh reality of one mother split between two children when we get back to Phoenix. Her favorite activities have included: making and decorating cookies with Mimi, doing absolutely anything with "Wakenna", building a snowman and sledding with Grandpa, Merritt and MJ, play-dough with Courtney and Lanee, and a two hour make-believe game of Shrek with Pops.

Oh my goodness Weston looks so BIG! We can't wait to see you. Glad you have been having a very fun filled busy Utah trip.
Your kids look great... and Weston totally looks like a Hatch baby. Hope you had a very merry christmas, and best wishes for the new year!
Love the picture of Layla in the cupboards. Just precious.
It was one fun vacation. I couldn't help but think how these times will last only a moment. In 5 years our kids won't be so little or, I dare say, so cute. Live it up!
