My baby girl turned three yesterday, and we were lucky enough to have Mimi, Brit, Makenna and Tyler in town to help celebrate. Mimi made Layla a bunny cake, since bunnies are her thing lately, and she was ecstatic.
We had a small family party, a few presents, and cake and ice cream. She is having another party next weekend for her friends, and is very excited to tell everyone that she is having two birthdays. She didn't get quite enough sleep on Friday night, so she was kind of a booger all day, but we decided we'll keep her anyway (turns out they only come with a two year warranty).
After we sang happy birthday and blew out the candles Layla got to choose what piece of cake she wanted. Of course, she chose the nose and whiskers, right in the middle of the cake.
Our big girl is amazingly smart, charismatic, and caring, and we are blessed to have her. Happy birthday, Lovie!

Happy Birthday Miss Layla, Etta wanted to sing "Happy Birthday" to you but she has a very forgetful mother. She wishes she could come to you party. Have so much fun being 3!
Happy B-day Miss yaya as Colie would say!
Uh ... happy birthday? Dang, we've never been very good with these!
