This is Cha Cha, one of Layla's favorite pets. Yesterday they were playing together all day. Layla would tell me that she and Cha Cha were making a birthday cake, taking a nap, or building a dog house. After dinner I told Layla that it was time to clean up her toys.
"Please will you help me clean up?" she asked.
"Maybe Cha Cha will help you clean up," I said, thinking it would be fun for her to continue her imaginary play.
"Mom," she said, "Cha Cha doesn't have hands."
Duh.
